Small group trips across India and Asia, booked like asking a friend.
Oscar Trips runs small group trips to Spiti, Ladakh, Meghalaya, Kashmir, Vietnam and Bali: fixed dates, at most 16 travellers and a trip captain on every trip. We are designing and building their new site, around the dates and seats people actually book on.
See the previewA group trip is decided on three things: when it leaves, how many seats are left and what it really costs. Those usually hide behind an enquiry form. The site had to put them first, keep them true as batches fill, and still feel like the trip rather than a booking table.

Every departure is a boarding pass: route, date, duration, seats and the full price with GST, from one typed trip catalogue that also drives the trip pages, the departures calendar and the destination guides. A custom serif, the client's own brush lettering and full-bleed photography carry the feeling; on phones, a bottom tab bar and sheets keep dates one thumb away.

Live on staging with 16 trips, 13 destination guides, a calendar of every upcoming batch and the travel guides, ahead of launch on the client's own domain.

One catalogue, every page
Trips, dated batches and seats live in one typed catalogue. The next departure, seats left and batch end dates are computed from it, so a filled batch shows as full everywhere at once.

A display face of their own
Oscar Display is built by a script from Instrument Serif: widened to 115%, set as an upright italic, with every round dot turned into a diamond that echoes the route markers.
- (03)
The client's own lettering
The brush-lettered logo is cut into a mask, so OSCAR TRIPS takes the text colour over dark photography while THE keeps its orange.

Phones first for dates
On small screens a bottom tab bar and sheets replace the menu, so trips, places and dates are always one thumb away.
